Office of Emergency Management Encourages Everyone to be Prepared

Be Prepared

Houston, Sept 2, 2014 — The University of Houston Office of Emergency Management is encouraging the campus community to be prepared for all kinds of emergencies.

September is National Preparedness Month and this week the Office of Emergency Management is encouraging Cougar families to make a family communication plan. Make sure everyone in the family has accurate contact information by using the Know Your Numbers form. Too often, people save information in their cell phones and don't know the numbers when the cell phones are inoperable. More information is available on FEMA's Ready website.

Many more resources are available on the UH Office of Emergency Management website. Also, like the University of Houston Office of Emergency Management Facebook page, where tips and resources and provided periodically.
