2004 School of Art Masters Thesis Exhibition
This exhibition represents painting, photography, graphics and sculpture showcasing each student’s artist development through the MFA program. Screening: “Marriage in the Shadows”
This film series “Shadows and Sojourners: Images of Jews and Antifascism in East German Film” is touted as the first North American retrospective of East German films representing German/Jewish relations, antifascism and the Holocaust. “Marriage in the Shadows” is the first postwar German film to address the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany. The University of Houston Center for Mexican American Studies presents its annual conference on Hispanic issues. “Latino Neighborhoods in Transition” focuses on the successes and challenges of urban, social and educational development.
