seminars where you can learn how to create, publish, and update your personal
website. To register for a seminar, send mail to pstech@uh.edu.
The application we use in web publishing is MS FrontPage.
FrontPage is a user-friendly software and is equipped with a wide range of
HTML features. FrontPage is available for use in the Data Lab, or can be
purchased for $60.00 (includes CD and license. See software
requests)
University-Sponsored Courses for Web
Development
The University of Houston offers a wide range of free courses on web
development and publishing. To learn more about these courses see UH
Web Courses.
Web Development Performed by Data Lab Staff
The Data Lab staff is responsible for updates to the department
website. The Data Lab does not support web development for personal or
class-related websites. If you or your TA are unable to participate in
the free Web Development Seminars provided by the Data Lab and the university,
possible contract arrangements may be made for staff members to perform web
development for you. Web development will be performed by Data Lab staff
outside their regular working hours for a fee to be determined at the time of
contract.
