The Houston Ballet's World Premiere of
Dracula, March 13-23, 1997

The first performance of Ben Stevenson's full-length ballet version of Dracula was held March 13, 1997, at the Wortham Center in Houston.

On opening night, the role of Dracula was danced by Timothy O'Keefe; Flora by Susan Cummins; Renfield by Parren Ballard; Svetlana by Barbara Bears; and Fredrick by Carlos Acosta.

Dracula was performed in Houston from March 13 to March 23, then toured to Los Angeles with the Houston company in August 1997. It was then performed by the Pittsburgh Ballet in October, 1997.
