Andrea Szabo Associate Professor of Economics PhD in Economics, University
of Minnesota, 2010 Andrea Szabo
specializes in industrial organization and development economics. Most of
Andrea’s research applies structural methods from industrial organization, in
particular demand estimation to developing country settings. Her work has
provided insights into the efficient operation of public utilities, the
optimal allocation of production inputs, and the financing of small firms.
She is currently working on the impact of quantity discounts on consumers in
Africa. Andrea has done extensive field work in South Africa and Ghana. Contact information: Economics
