No party grieved. Misdemeanor in a coroner for returning an inquisition super visum corporis where the jury never saw the body. Danvers, widow, plaintiff; Mathew, gentleman, a coroner, defendant: for returning a jury that dwelled in a remote hundred to inquire of the death of one Alexander and not in the hundred where the party was hurt or died as by the law he should have done, and for returning the inquisition super visum corporis where the jury never viewed the body and this done a week after the party’s death and to be done se defendendo. For this offence and misdemeanour he was fined at £500, Fleet, and to be put out of his coronership and never to execute the office or place towards the coroner.
