Terri G. King President, Gulf Coast and Rockies, ConocoPhillips
Terri G. King was appointed president, Gulf Coast and Rockies in 2021, assuming responsibility for the company’s unconventional development and production operations in the Eagle Ford and Bakken, as well as conventional operations that range from Wyoming to Texas, Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico.
King’s current assignment follows a 28-year career with ConocoPhillips that includes a variety of management and technical assignments in U.S. and international settings. Her most-recent senior executive roles included service respectively as president, Lower 48, president, Europe & North Africa, president, United Kingdom, general manager of Global Production, and vice president of the Mid-Continent and San Juan business units.
Previously King had served as Gulf Coast business unit operations and engineering manager, as operating unit manager for the Eldfisk offshore oil field in Norway, manager of Upstream Technology Development, and lead of exploration and development teams in the Val Verde and San Juan basins. She joined ConocoPhillips in 1991, initially serving in increasingly responsible reservoir engineering, planning/portfolio management, and executive assistant roles.
King serves as an executive sponsor for the ConocoPhillips PRIDE Employee Network. She is also a member of the University of Houston’s Energy Advisory Board serving to advance energy education and research.
King began her career with Union Texas Petroleum in after graduating from Trinity University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. She earned a Master of Business degree in Finance from the University of Houston.
