Donah Justice

Career Development Counselor

Liaison to the College of Education and the Graduate College of Social Work

Donah Justice is the career counselor for the College of Education and Graduate College of Social Work. She is passionate about guiding diverse student populations in their career search and empowering students to have confidence in their career exploration. Donah is a mentor for the Las Comadres First-Gen Latina Student Mentoring Program. She is also the University Career Services (UCS) liaison to the UH Women Gender and Resource Center, Cougars in Recovery, and LGBTQ Resource Center and is a Cougar Ally and Code Red Assist Liaison. Donah’s KPMG Pride Panel and Turnaround Talk programming events were awarded the 2018 DSAES Diversity Award.

Donah has also served in leadership positions internally and externally at UH. She is the supervisor for the UCS Peer Career Advisor team and was the Co-Chair for the DSAES Professional Development Exchange Committee.

Her previous experience includes interning at the University of Houston Career Services office. As an intern, Donah assisted students during the drop-in-hours with resume reviews and interview preparation. Along with interning at UCS, Donah was also a graduate assistant at the University Of Houston Office of Admissions. As an on-call counselor she informed freshman, transfer, and international students about University of Houston’s admissions requirements. Before coming to University of Houston, Donah was college advisor with Advise TX at The University of Texas at Austin. As a college advisor she guided high school students in deciding what college and major they wanted to pursue after graduation.

Donah is a proud Cougar and Longhorn. She is a graduate of the Master of Education in Counseling program at the University of Houston and alumni of The University of Texas at Austin where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
