Parking Citation Food Drive
The Student Government Association has partnered with Parking & Transportation to host a semesterly Food Drive that allows students to donate non-perishable foods or necessity items to gain a one time $25 Credit off of their parking citation. In order to receive the one- time $25 Credit, students must donate either: 5 non-perishable foods, 3 necessity items, or if it is a combination of food and necessity items, then a total of 5 items. This semester students can bring the following items to donate:
- Canned / Microwavable Soups / Chili / Beef Stew / Ravioli
- Canned Meat (tuna, chicken, salmon, halal canned meat, Vienna sausages, spam, deviled ham)
- Canned vegetables (no green beans ha) such as corn, potatoes, carrots, beans, baked beans, chickpeas
- Spaghetti Noodles / Rotini / Egg Noodles / linguine (basically any pasta)
- Spaghetti Sauces (with and without meat, and alfredo)
- Ramen (both regular and halal)
- Instant Oatmeal / Grits / Cream of Wheat
- Boxed Cereal (we try to get the ones that are less sugary)
- Crackers (saltines / ritz)
- Tomato Sauce / Canned tomatoes
- Taco Seasoning
- Taco Shells
- Granola Bars
- Cereal Bars
- Mac n Cheese (both boxed and microwavable)
- Popcorn (microwavable)
- Fruit Cups
- Applesauce
- Cooking Oil (small bottles) / Cooking Spray (like Pam)
- Olive Oil (small bottles)
- Mayo / Ketchup / Mustard / Pickle Relish / Salad Dressings (all small bottles)
- Toothpaste / Toothbrushes / Dental Floss
- Shampoo / Conditioner (African American hair products badly needed)
- Deodorant
- Shaving Cream
- Razors (either unisex or both men / women)
- Tampons
- Sanitary Pads
- Dish soap
- Laundry (we usually ask for the pods so we can bag them into 4 per bag)
- Dryer sheets
- Toilet Paper
- Can Openers
- Disposable “to go” containers (like you put leftovers in)
