UH Expands Research Priorities

In response to new federal priorities focused on securing our energy future through the transition to more sustainable and renewable energy sources, the University of Houston has expanded its research thrusts to include Energy Security and Transition. The expansion of UH's thrusts comes after discussions amongst the President, Provost, college deans and research leadership across the UH campus.

In addition to the fifth thrust, UH also expanded its thrust implementation framework to include Advanced Manufacturing as a tool. The addition of this tool is also in alignment with federal research priorities and funding for cross-disciplinary teams.
