UH Cougar Cub Summer Camp

If you're looking for a fun and exciting experience for your child for this summer, look no further because our camp has unique programming every week! Our summer day camp features recreational activities and events with partners including UH Outdoor Adventures; NASA’s GLOBE Goes to Camp, Blaffer Art Museum, and more for 8 one-week sessions. We strive to provide a supportive and enjoyable environment for children ages 6 - 11 where learning and fun go hand in hand.

Registration begins April 19th and will be available online at myrec.uh.edu or in person at the CRWC Member Services Desk.

We have temporarily restricted our camp enrollment to only serve minors of the UH affiliate community which includes children of students, faculty, and staff. The price difference for camp will still be enforced as we do have UH affiliates that have not taken advantage of utilizing our CRWC membership opportunity. If you would like to learn more about the benefits of being a CRWC member please see our Member Services website for additional information.

Waitlist Process

We will have a waitlist for each week of camp. For families that want to register for open weeks but can't get into all desired weeks, please make sure the Member Services staff member knows that you want to be added to the waitlist and they will make a note on your packet. The waitlist is kept with Camp Administration, not Member Services. Camp Administration will confirm with you that you wish to be on the waitlist for other weeks and we will do this on a first-come, first-serve basis. If a spot becomes available, we will start at the top of the waitlist and contact the families in order, giving a set time frame for a response, before we move on to the next family.

Payment Policy

Full Payment is due at the time of registration. Until the payment is made, your child is not guaranteed a spot.

Membership Discount To receive the camp discount the membership needs to extend through the entire camp season. What that means is, you must have a current annual membership when you submit the registration for payment, as well as have a current membership through the 8 weeks of camp too. We have two options for membership: pre-pay and payroll deduction. With pre-pay, you can purchase an annual membership for $348. If you cancel the pre-pay annual membership before the 12 months are up, you will not receive a refund. With payroll deduction, if you cancel the payroll deduction membership before the 12 months are up, you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee.
