Executive Functioning Disorders- Instructional Strategies (Virtual)

Tuesday, October 11, 2022

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Executive functioning difficulties are usually a feature of students with ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, and Autism. Executive functioning difficulties cause issues with organization, planning, distinguishing between relevant and non-relevant information, estimating time needed to complete tasks, difficulty focusing and concentrating, having difficulty transitioning, and having a slow processing speed. This training will describe these disorders, and provide clear suggestions to professors about how to help these students in your classroom. You will also learn more about LAUNCH academic coaching and how we help students with these issues. (LAUNCH is the learning center on campus and is separate from the Student Accessibility Center, which provides accommodations for students.)
