Allied Health Professions Society (AHPS) Meeting

AHPS is a non-profit organization that provides up-to-date information regarding various health professions and schools through workshops, tours, guest speakers, etc. Our primary objective is to equip our members with resources necessary to succeed in graduate health programs through knowledge, professional contacts, and community service experience. We partner with exam prep organizations and accredited graduate institutions to provide our members what they need to get into graduate school, and to succeed!

The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) at The University of Houston is a pre-medical honors student organization that seeks to give its entire chapter any and all opportunities a pre-medical student needs when aiming to become a physician.

American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA)

The American Medical Women’s Association Chapter at the University of Houston is an organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in medicine and advocating for women’s health. We aim to create a strong sense of community while providing resources to our members to help prepare them for their pre-health professions. Our organization provides opportunities for mentorship, community service, as well as personal and professional development. Our team hopes to enhance pre-medical education and forge a better foundation for community cohesion by incorporating advocacy and community service.

Rho Nu Nursing Association

Rho Nu Nursing Association provides guidance for students in preparation for applying to and attending nursing school. Rho Nu will prepare students by conducting workshops, arranging volunteer and service projects, and implementing information sessions to give insight into the nursing field.
