International Education Week 2022

International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. The purpose of IEW is to promote the benefits of international education and cultural exchange. IEW is celebrated across the United States on an annual basis during the third week of November. This year, IEW will occur November 14-18, 2022. At the University of Houston, IEW is an opportunity to showcase the various global programs and international opportunities as well as celebrate our cultural diversity.

Monday, November 14th

  • IEW Opening Ceremony: Celebration of Cultures, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, Student Center South - Houston Room
    Join us for a special celebration to kick-off IEW! Drop by to learn about the global programs, offices, and student organizations on campus. We will have interactive booths, cultural performances, free shirts, snacks, and prizes!   • SIT: Experiential Learning for Tomorrow’s Leaders, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm, MD Anderson Library - Honors Commons
    The School for International Training has more than 90 undergraduate and master’s degree programs on all seven continents. SIT offers students access to a network of professionals working around the world.
