To date, thirty-three scholarships have been awarded. Twenty-one Noyce Scholars have graduated. Of these, 18 are teaching Physics and/or Chemistry in high need school district and 3 will be teaching in Fall 2017; 100% completed their degrees within 6 years with a 4.5- year average, which compares to a 27.8% six-year completion rate in NSM. Four scholars have participated in the STEM Teacher and Researcher Program Internship and 28 Scholars have presented at regional and national conferences. Also, ten graduates are certified to teach physics where for over a decade, UH had not graduated any students certified to teach physics.
