Feb. 15 Deadline for NSM Ambassador Applications


The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is seeking its best and brightest undergraduates to become Ambassadors for the college. Interested students must submit an application by Feb. 15.

Students selected as Ambassadors serve during their junior and senior years. In exchange for a minimum of 16 hours of service per semester, Ambassadors receive scholarship funding. They also receive an Ambassador polo, a custom-tailored blazer, valuable training and experience.

Attending Cougar Previews, new student orientations and college nights at local high schools, escorting visitors on camps tours, visiting donors, giving short presentations about UH and NSM, attending official dinners and alumni events, and serving as ushers at commencement are among service opportunities.

Requirements include majoring in a discipline within the college and having a minimum 3.0 GPA and excellent interpersonal skills.
