National Science Foundation Funds UH-Singapore Cooperative Research and Exchange Program

A $700,000 National Science Foundation (NSF) grant has recently been awarded to the University of Houston and the National University of Singapore to develop a three-year collaborative research program in nanomaterials and thin films.

The collaboration will involve faculty and student exchange visits and joint meetings to promote education and research efforts by both universities.

Research related to nanomaterials and thin films has a diverse range of applications, from biomedical devices and advanced electronics to sensors to detect biochemical toxins.

This program is sponsored by the Division of Materials Research, as part of the Materials World Network Program of the NSF.
