The tutorial title is "Database Systems Research on Data Mining" and will present a review of processing alternatives, storage mechanisms, algorithms, data structures and optimizations that enable data mining on large data sets, paying particular attention to SQL/UDFs and MapReduce, coming from database systems and search engines, respectively. ACM SIGMOD is the oldest database systems conference and it is considered a top CS research venue.
