NSM Faculty Honored with 13 Awards at UH Evening of Faculty Excellence
Faculty Recognized for Excellence in Teaching, Research and Scholarship

April 26 was an evening for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (NSM) faculty to shine.

NSM faculty members won 13 awards for excellence in teaching and excellence in research and scholarship during University of Houston’s “An Evening of Faculty Excellence.” The excellence awards, given each year, are one of the highest honors bestowed by UH. All winners received a trophy and cash prize.

“NSM’s faculty award winners embody the best in educational and research endeavors. Their dedication is clear and provides a winning combination for our students and for NSM,” said Mark A. Smith, NSM dean. “I’m proud that NSM dominated the awards this year.”
