Breakthrough Houston

Saturday, March 4, 2023

9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Breakthrough Houston works with highly motivated, traditionally underrepresented students to achieve post-secondary success and empowers aspiring leaders to become the next generation of educators and advocates. The BTH School Year Program meets monthly on specified Saturday mornings during the school year. BTH also offers tutoring for any student with a grade average falling below 80% to ensure he or she achieves the GPA required for admission to a competitive high school and eventually college.

Volunteers for this event will be assisting in their after-school program where they will help guide students through an arts and crafts activity. Those that need carpooling will meet at the Student Center South Circle Drive at 9:00am on March 4th. The dress code is casual. The only strong recommendation is to wear comfortable shoes that you can be active in. Most volunteers wear t-shirts, and jeans, leggings, or shorts. Shorts are to be no shorter than two inches above the knee.
