As the year comes to a close, the holiday season invites us to reflect on the moments that defined 2024, express our gratitude, and look forward to the possibilities that the new year holds. This year has been especially momentous for the UH Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine as we graduated our first class, expanded our faculty, and transitioned leadership from our Founding Dean, Steve Spann. I hope to continue to provide vision and leadership as we move into an exciting new chapter.
Reflecting on the year and my short time at UH, I am profoundly grateful for the incredible contributions of our students, faculty and staff. Your dedication to advancing our mission of improving health and health care is the foundation of all that we achieve together. Through your efforts in 2024, we’ve celebrated remarkable accomplishments in education, research, clinical care and community engagement. The relationships we’ve nurtured and the impact we’ve made together inspire hope and optimism for the future.
With 2025 on the horizon, there is so much to look forward to as we build upon this strong foundation. I extend my heartfelt wishes to you and your loved ones for a joyful holiday season and a Happy New Year filled with health, happiness and success.
