The year-end holidays bring opportunities for reflection on the year gone by, and celebration of holidays and the opportunities that a new year brings. And they bring opportunities for expressions of gratitude. As I reflect on this 2023 year at the UH Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine, I find much to celebrate and be grateful for. Top of my list is the relationships with our wonderful students, faculty and staff, and the contributions that each of you make in helping us strive to accomplish our mission to improve the health and health care of the population. We can celebrate many accomplishments in the areas of education, research, clinical care, and service to and engagement with our community. Our College of Medicine is visible locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally thanks to everything you all do. We have had a good year, and 2024 promises to be even better. I wish for each of you and your loved ones a wonderful and joyful holiday season, and a Happy New Year!
