HEALTH OF HOUSTON: ADDRESSING FOOD INSECURITY DURING COVID-19
Since the pandemic hit, more and more Houston-area residents are being economically impacted and dealing with food insecurity, which is lack of consistent and reliable access to food. The Houston Food Bank projects that over 2.7 million people in its 18-county service area may be struggling with food insecurity.
We bring together experts from our community partners – the Boynton Chapel United Methodist Church, Houston Food Bank, University of Texas Health Science Center and Urban Harvest – to discuss the food insecurity issues that exist, takeaways and possible solutions.
