TMF 2020 COVID-19 INFORMATION

A Letter from TMF General and Artistic Director, Alan Austin

April 7, 2020

Due to the worldwide disruption caused by the Covid - 19 pandemic, we regret to announce the cancellation of all programs, institutes, and performances at the 2020 Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival:

Institute of Voice Studies (May 20-June 5)
Application fees will be fully refunded as soon as possible.

Orchestral Institute (June 6-27)
All registration/housing fees will be refunded as soon as possible. Application fees cannot be refunded, as the process has been fully completed, but in appreciation, all 2020 accepted applicants may apply for a substantially reduced application fee in 2021.

Middle and High School Jazz Institute (June 21-26)
Application fees will be fully refunded as soon as possible.

After 30 seasons, a summer without TMF seems inconceivable, but the health and safety of everyone involved remains our primary concern, as is a musical experience of the highest quality for participants, conductors, faculty, and audiences.

Dates and more information about TMF 2021 will be posted on our website soon.

We still want to be part of your summer, even with social distancing—check back to enjoy past recordings on our TMF Virtual Stage featuring performances from recent years. And if you are able, please help to ensure the future of the Texas Music Festival by making a contribution toward student fellowships for 2021.

Sincerely,
Alan Austin
General and Artistic Director
