Sydney Hancock just completed her freshman year as oboist at the Shepherd School of Music, where she studies with Robert Atherholt. Previously, she studied with Elizabeth Koch Tiscione of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Her major orchestral experiences include the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, the 2014 Curtis Institute of Music’s Young Artists’ Summer Program, and the 2015 Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artist’s Orchestra. In addition to playing the oboe, Sydney enjoys baking and riding horses.
