Originally from South Dakota, Skye Dearborn holds a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from the University of Michigan where she studied with David Jackson. As an undergraduate student she performed with many ensembles, including the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America and the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute orchestra, both on full scholarship. She is currently an active freelancer in the Southeast Michigan area, having performed with Dearborn Symphony, Rochester Symphony and Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony; however, she will be moving this fall to pursue a Master of Music at Boston University.
