Shelby Thompson is pursuing a master’s degree in viola performance at Florida State University under the tutelage of Dr. Pamela Ryan. Thompson is a member of the Eppes Quartet, the graduate quartet in residence at FSU, and is also serves as a graduate teaching assistant. In addition to teaching, Thompson performs frequently with different orchestras in both Florida and Georgia. A former student of Wayne Brooks, Thompson received her BM from the University of Houston in 2016. This will be her second summer as a fellow at the Texas Music Festival.
