Samuel Zagnit, a native New Yorker, is a graduate of LaGuardia High School for the Arts. He is now pursuing his Undergraduate degree at Manhattan School of Music, where he studies with David Grossman and Orin O'Brien, with help from the Constance and Homer Mensch fund. At MSM, Sam has been able to play with a myriad of ensembles, including MSM’s contemporary performance ensemble, playing a vast array of demanding music with extremely high level musicians. On March 15, he presented a program of new music, including commissions from MSM composers, showcasing the Double Bass in Neidorff-Karpati Hall, at MSM.
