Oleg Babkov began his studies on cello in high school with Ms. Ellen Stephens. Eventually becoming principal of the Northern Kentucky Youth Sinfonia, Oleg has performed the Vivaldi C Minor cello concerto with the Sinfonia in New York City. Following this, Oleg saw a series of successes, being accepted as Assistant Principal with the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra and principal cellist of the Sewanne Symphony Orchestra. Currently studying at the University of Louisville with professor Paul York, Oleg hopes to continue to grow technically and musically and to perform with a professional symphony orchestra.
