Marin Osawa is a sophomore violinist at Rice University that started playing from the age of four. As an avid chamber musician,  Marin has received a fellowship for Madeline Island Chamber Music where she collaborated with Andres Diaz and worked with the Dover Quartet, Pacifica Quartet, and Arianna Quartet. She has also played in masterclasses for Itamar Zorman and members of the Brentano Quartet. Previously a student of Frank Huang, Concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic, she now studies with Kenneth Goldsmith at the Shepherd School of Music, which she attends with a Shepherd Society Award.
