Jessica Elder, 20, was born in Mobile, Alabama where she began playing horn at age 12. She is currently an undergraduate at the Eastman School of Music studying with W. Peter Kurau and is an extra player with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Last summer, Jessica was a fellow at Music Academy of the West, and this summer she will attend the Pacific Music Festival after her departure from TMF. Jessica was a semi-finalist at the International Horn Competition of America in 2015, and she was the winner of the 2016 Northeast Horn Workshop solo competition.
