David Uhlmann, a Pittsburgh native, is a sophomore at Duquesne University, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance. Studying with Ed Stephan and John Soroka, David performs with the University Orchestra and Percussion Ensemble. He began focusing on orchestral studies after participating in the Pittsburgh Symphony Side-By-Side program and then continuing on with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. He has attended the Washburgh Timpani Seminar, taught by Ed Stephan
and Jauvon Gilliam, in the summers of both 2014 and 2015. David teaches at local area high schools giving clinics, helping with summer band programs and assisting with percussion ensembles.
