Chialing Pidd started to play the cello at 8. She went to Manhattan School of Music precollege and studied with Madeline Golz. She won the Vivo Competition and performed at Weill Recital at Carnigie when she was 17. She has played for notables such as Alisa Weilerstein, Nick Canellakis, Wendy Warner, Richard Weiss, Timothy Eddy, Pacifica Quartet, Shanghai Quartet. She is currently studying with Eric Kim at the Jacobs School of Music. She also plays in Columbus, Terre Haute and Owensboro orchestras.
