Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Cheng-Wei Hsieh is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at University of Houston’s Moores School of Music, where he studies with Dr. Kirsten Yon. Mr. Hsieh is teaching violin lessons and chamber music as a String Teaching Assistant in Moores School of Music. In 2012, Mr. Hsieh earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan, where he studied with Dr. Ming-Shi Du. In 2016, Mr. Hsieh obtained his Master’s degree in Music Performance at University of North Texas where he studied with Dr. Felix Olschofka.
