Macao-born cellist Adelaide Im made her solo debut with the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra at the age of 15. In 2012, she joined the Macao Virtuosi and recorded her first CD ‘Dancing Strings”. In 2014, her string quartet won the first prize at the Macao Youth Musician Competition. As an orchestral musician, she has performed with the Portugal National Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Flemish Philharmonic, etc. She participated in many festivals conducted by James Judd, Mario Venzago, etc., and was appointed as section principle in the Asian Youth Orchestra 2016. She is now studying in Temple University with John Koen.
