Adam Floyd is a clarinetist based out of Boston. Currently at the New England Conservatory, where Adam is NEC’s 2016-17 Concerto Competition Winner, Adam is a prolific solo, orchestral, and chamber player. A native of Houston, Texas, Adam began his early musical studies at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts and was a finalist in the Houston Symphony’s League Concerto Competition. Adam has participated in many high-profile masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Andreas Ottensamer, Andrew Mariner, Ian Swensen, and Wenzel Fuchs. Summer of 2016, Adam won an orchestral fellowship at the Texas Music Festival Institute where he worked with conductors Hans Graf and Carl St. Clair. Adam continues his clarinet studies with Michael Wayne, Boston Symphony Orchestra.
