Superstar Verona Quartet opens the TMF season with works by Beethoven and Gabriela Lena Frank, and joins TMF faculty (Brian Lewis, Kirsten Yon, violins; Wayne Brooks, viola; Eunghee Cho, cello) to perform Mendelssohn’s beloved Octet.
Program: Ludwig van Beethoven: String Quartet in F major, Op. 18, No.1 (1799); Gabriela Lena Frank (b. 1972): Leyendas (2001); Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847): Octet for Strings in E-flat major, Op. 20 (1825)
