José Alberto Aponte Trujillo started his musical studies in 2000 at the age of eight in Xalapa, Mexico. Later, he enrolled into Universidad Veracruzana where he got his bachelor’s degree. During his time as a student, he performed in several chamber music ensembles and orchestras.

Aponte was a violinist in Orquesta Juvenil del Estado de Veracruz and also played with Orquesta Filarmónica de Boca del Rio under the baton of Jorge Mester. Aponte has participated in music festivals such as San Miguel de Allende Music Festival, Zacatecas 2013 Music Festival, Miami Summer Music Festival, Academia Orquestal Teatro del Lago, Chile and Pierre Monteux School in Maine.

Currently, Aponte is getting a master´s degree at Colorado State University where he is also a member of the Concorda String Quartet.
