Mendenhall investigates the future ramifications of the creative economy by examining the role of the artist, institutions, and the arts marketplace. After exploring values and cultural paradigms that defined the twentieth century creative economy, Mendenhall asks participants to re-value arts leadership in the twenty-first century.

Susan Mendenhall, President of Arts United, has been leading Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne in their latest endeavor to elevate Northeast Indiana’s quality of life to cultivate, attract, and retain the talented workforce in the region. Prior to joining the Arts United staff, Mendenhall worked at the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.  Mendenhall has a M.A. in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and a B.S. in Public Affairs from Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
