Submit a Marketing Request
Choose the form that best suits your needs. Note you will need to log into Office 365 with your cougarnet ID, the same one you use for Outlook, Teams or other Microsoft applications.
EVENTS This includes KGMCA online calendar listing, print or digital designs and advertisments, special events request option, social media post about event and/or e-news blast consideration.
NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS This includes request for articles to be written, existing articles to be published, social media posts about articles or announcements and e-news blast consideration.
DESIGNS This includes graphic design for print or digital materials for advertising and recruitment unrelated to events or news and announcements.
WEBSITE This includes updates to existing web page content and the creation of new pages including faculty and staff biographies.
All requests will be reviewed for feasibility. If the request cannot be completed, you will be notified by our office in advance. Please edit and spell check all text before submitting it. Our proofreaders will review content for grammar and style guidelines, but all text should be submitted as close to final as possible. You will be notified along each step of the way as progress is made on the request and will have the chance to approve staging before any change is published live.
The MarCom office is committed to reviewing and assigning all requests on the day the request is received. Completion times can vary depending on the complexity of the request. The completion date cannot be the same as the requesting date.
- Basic requests such as changing the date, updating an address, or social media graphics: 3–5 business days
- Ticketed and non-ticketed events including performances, lectures, festivals and exhibitions: 6 weeks in advance in order to be advertised externally, beyond the UH website; 10 business days in advance for events not advertised externally.
- Special Events (including catering, security, etc.): 30 business days.
- Web edits may take up to 2 – 4 weeks to complete depending on the complexity. URL alias requests may take up to 1 – 2 weeks to complete.
Please note that jobs will be canceled 10 business days after a request for feedback is unanswered or when the requested delivery deadline passes and the client has not responded to requests from the MarCom office for feedback.

Every item that uses the Kathrine G. McGovern logo or has an intention to represent the college through words or graphic images must be approved by UH branding. Requesting a product through the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts MarCom office ensures you have a brand-approved item that adheres to University of Houston and Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts brand standards.
The Marketing and Communications office does not facilitate the process of printing materials. Please refer to University Printing and Postal for options and pricing.
