Denim Day

Denim Day is a global campaign that takes place annually in April as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It was sparked by a controversial court ruling that suggested a victim’s tight jeans implied consent, highlighting the harmful myths surrounding sexual assault. Wearing denim on this day is a visible way to challenge victim-blaming.

Show your support by posting an Instagram pic in your denim. Tag @uhwgrc and tell us why you support survivors. 3 winners will be selected for our Denim Day Giveaway!

Need support for an experience of sexual violence or know someone who does? Our confidential Sexual Misconduct Support Services team is here for you. Reach us at smss@uh.edu.

Date: Wednesday, April 30th, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., located online, Instagram @uhwgrc. Click here for more information.
