Cougar Move-In

Cougar Move-In is a key event at the University of Houston that marks the beginning of the academic year, specifically designed for new and returning students moving into campus housing. This event typically involves a coordinated effort to assist students and their families with the moving process, including organizing move-in schedules, providing volunteers to help with unloading and transporting belongings, and offering orientation materials. Activities such as welcome booths, resource fairs, and social gatherings will be held during this event to help students get acquainted with their new environment and start building connections. The goal is to make the transition to campus living as smooth and welcoming as possible, ensuring that students feel supported and prepared for the year ahead. Cougar Move-in will take place Aug. 14-17. Students were able to reserve their Cougar Move-in timeslot beginning Wednesday, July 17, 2024. An email notification, outlining instructions on how to secure desired dates and times for Cougar Move-in, will be sent in early July to all students with a Housing Agreement on file. Move-in timeslots will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
