Weeks of Welcome (WOW) Welcome new and returning Coogs! 🐾 Start the year off right with Weeks of Welcome (WOW)- a two-week series of events taking place from August 15th through the 31st. During WOW, you’ll have the chance to dive into campus life with hundreds of events and activities. You can look forward to FREE food, t-shirts, and lots of fun activities. Commuter Movie Night The Dean of Students Office, Student Program Board, & Veteran Services Office host Commuter Movie Night, which is a free movie night. This event is open to the entire University of Houston community! Attendees will receive free food, snacks, a limited amount of event t-shirts, movie-themed swag items, and prizes while supplies last. Two lucky students will win free zone campus parking for the Fall 2024 semester! This year we are showing: The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. New MD Anderson Library Service Desk Hours University of Houston Libraries welcomes new and returning Coogs for the start of a spirited Fall 2024 semester. This academic year, effective Monday, August 19, MD Anderson Library will offer new Service Desk hours. The new schedule is: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday Closed, and Sunday: 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. The new hours pertain only to the Service Desk on MD Anderson Library floor 1. Behind the Badge 2024 Save the date for Behind the Badge on August 28th, 2-6 p.m. at MD Anderson Library.
