This fall, take a break from your studies and enjoy a series of events and activities starting November 18 - December 2, 2024! This season, join us for the Stress-Free Finals Kickoff event on November 19 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at the Student Centers Plaza, where you can unwind with a SMASH room, grab an exclusive Fall t-shirt, enjoy free ice cream, and more! Feeling Artsy? Stop by Design Depot on November 20 from 2:00pm – 4:00 pm in the Student Centers Houston Room to decorate an ornament, grab a totebag, and get cozy with hot chocolate and cookies! Rec Beats

As the end of the semester approaches (and along with it, finals week) carve out some fun time to reward yourself for all the hard work you’ve put into this fall. Consider registering at myrec.uh.edu for the Rec Center’s last event of the semester—a 5:00PM lead climbing clinic on November 20th where you’ll learn how to take your rock climbing to the next level!

Unwind with Wellness Wednesday: Spa Night

For the final Unwind with Wellness Wednesday (UWWW) of fall, UH Wellness and Campus Recreation are hosting a Spa Night with chair massages, arts and crafts, mini yoga, and refreshments to help students relax before finals.

Book Talk: Bill Hobby, A Life in Journalism and Public Service

Join the Hobby School of Public Affairs and the authors of “Bill Hobby: A Life of Journalism and Public Service” for a book talk about the school's namesake, former Lt. Gov. Bill Hobby, Jr. Biographers document Bill Hobby’s indelible influence at the Houston Post, Texas Senate and in public education. Attendees can purchase a copy of the book for signing by the authors. Registration is free but required. Event check-in starts at 5 p.m., the panel discussion begins at 5:30 p.m., and a reception and book signing follow.
