Internship Search Workshop
Finding a job or internship opportunity takes time and there are multiple strategies you can use. In this workshop, come learn practical steps to conduct an in-person and virtual job search while learning how to navigate Cougar Pathway to apply for additional opportunities. UH Student Grief Group
Let us know you are coming - Register
This is a discussion-based support group for UH students who have experienced the death of a loved one (such as a pet, partner, friend, classmate, family member, or coworker). Grief is universal and unique to everyone. This support group will provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space for students to gain an understanding of the grieving process, receive emotional support from others, and learn ways to manage grief as a student. Grief group is co-facilitated by Dr. Toshio Asai and Ms. Juliet Ogbonna. Looking for more resources about grief? Grief Support Groups in Houston, College Student Grief Awareness, and the grief support group is open and free to all current UH students. Observation of groups for academic purposes is not permitted to ensure the safety and privacy of members. Wesley’s Food Pantry
Wesley Community Center is a nonprofit organization that provides food for struggling families, meals and activities for seniors, and a financial opportunity center for individuals to gain the skills they need to become financially stable. As a student volunteer, you’ll assist in organizing, sorting, and stocking donated food items, including loading and unloading freezers, refrigerators, and shelves. Volunteers will be needed from 8:30 am-12:30 pm. If using the carpool, volunteers will meet in front of the Student Center South at 7:50 am and depart at 8:00 am arrive at the event site at 8:30 am and volunteer until 12:30 pm. Please indicate on this sign-up form if you can provide carpool - we always need volunteer drivers! All volunteer drivers will receive one extra volunteer hour for their generosity. After the event, volunteers will return to campus and be back by 1:00 pm.

Montrose Grace Place
Grace Place provides food, friends, and hope to youth ages 13-24 experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity of all sexualities and genders. Volunteers will be needed from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. As a student volunteer, you’ll assist in cooking and serving dinner to Montrose Grace Place youth. If using the carpool, volunteers will meet in front of the Student Center South at 4:50 pm and depart at 5:00 pm arrive at the event site at 5:30 pm and volunteer until 7:30 pm.
