You might be wondering, “Where did the semester go?” I find myself asking the same question. In any event, December is already here, and winter break is just weeks away. Most importantly, commencement will also be here before we know it.

Dec. 10 – Bagatelle: A Graphic Novel Work in Progress Show 5:30 p.m., Blaffer Art Museum

Dec. 18–19 – Fall Commencement Ceremonies starting at 9 a.m., Fertitta Center, Cullen Performance Hall

This up-tempo time of year encourages us to find “balance” in all that we’re experiencing. It also reminds us how elusive or even impossible that effort can sometimes feel. Is there any hope for the academic who wants it all?
