| Summary | |||||||||||||
| Under the general direction of the Grounds Supervisor, maintains campus landscape and grounds by applying horticultural chemicals, such as herbicides, pesticides, and fertilizers. Applies pesticides for termite and mosquito control. | |||||||||||||
| Job Duties | |||||||||||||
| 1. Applies necessary horticultural chemicals to provide for the care and feeding of campus plant material to include pest and fungus control, weed control, and fertilizer distribution.
2. Maintains necessary records and paperwork required by the Texas Structural Pest Control Board. 3. Maintains and regulates the chemical inventory required to perform job function. 4. Plants and cares for flower and groundcover beds and other landscape projects as directed, prunes trees and shrubs under the direction of arborist. 5. Pulls, chops, hoes and otherwise removes weeds; picks up trash, paper and debris on campus as directed., 6. Operates and maintains small power equipment, as well as large equipment to include tractors, tractor-drawn implements, and street sweeper., 7. Maintains employee departmental files and time sheets, daily vehicle fuel usage and mileage, and submits purchase requests for materials. 8. Performs duties of Grounds Supervisor in supervisor's absence. 9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. |
