HonorSociety.org at University of Houston

HonorSociety.org - Strength and HonorWelcome to HonorSociety.org Chapter at the University of Houston!

HonorSociety.org is focused on helping people succeed by connecting members with the right people and opportunities to help them achieve their goals. In order to nurture those connections, HonorSociety.org introduced campus chapters at universities, like University of Houston, across the country as a way for members to receive an elevated member experience.

  • Chapters allow members to have an in-person support system that allow them to reach their goals and excel academically.
  • Members of chapters gain real-world leadership experience and are positive influences on campus and within their communities.
  • HonorSociety.org encourages its chapters to give back to their local community as well as providing service to those around the world by doing community service at least once per semester

HonorSociety.org Requirements

Membership into our society is open to students and alumni in all fields of study, who desire to pursue excellence and build a framework for success.

By allowing student to shine as leaders, whether through their academics, community service or leadership in their own local chapter, we can thank each member for how they make their own, unique difference by giving them tools and benefits to succeed even further. Beyond G.P.A. alone, we recognize other merits that students achieve, such as the Dean's List and President's List and embodying the core values.

Exclusionary policies would be fundamentally wrong. As a society, we are inclusive in the sense that we do not hold a person's past G.P.A. against them in the pursuit of higher knowledge and holding themselves to a higher standard. Although we aim to award our members for their academic achievement, and we've given the titles of Honors, High Honors and Highest Honors to those who fall within a specific grade point average window, our mission is to help others reach these academic levels by encouraging them, and also rewarding them for the work they do outside of the classroom.

For scholarship opportunities for academic and other areas of success, please visit our scholarship page. We offer exclusive HonorSociety.org Scholarships as well as an extensive Scholarship Directory.
