About the Edith and Robert Zinn Scholarship

Through the generosity of Edith and Robert Zinn, a new scholarship has been established in the Honors College. The Zinn Scholarship will provide need-based aid to students who declare one of the Honors College's seven minors.

Zinn Scholarships for the Global Engagement and Research minor are intended to support experiential learning opportunities. Students must be enrolled in or have completed the gateway course, Principles and Practices of Global Engagement (HON 3360H), and meet the following criteria:

  • Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in the Honors College
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
Students pursuing a degree in religion or ethnic studies are not eligible.

Final decisions about the recipients and the amount of the scholarship will be determined by the committee. Zinn Scholars will be expected to exhibit heightened participation in the Global Engagement and Research minor and program and will have the following ambassadorial duties:

  • Recruiting
  • Representing
  • Exemplifying
  • Communicating
  • Marketing
