Jonas Chin is a Californian by birth and Houston Cougar by choice. A native San Franciscan and second generation Cougar, Jonas came to Houston to pursue opportunity, just like his grandfather did when he moved the family to Houston in the late 40s. His Cougar experience was a memorable one, with most of his fond memories coming from serving as an Ambassador in The Honors College giving tours to prospective students, meeting someone new everyday on campus, and representing his fellow Cougars in student government. Now that this chapter of his undergraduate career has finished, he's looking forward to helping others and advocating for education wherever he goes.
